The Software Integration & Test Engineer prepares, configures, and validates the Test Equipment and automation frameworks used in satellite hardware testing. Ensures automation scripts and interfaces are accurate, reliable, calibrated, and standards-compliant with full traceability and necessary documentation., * Develop and validate automation frameworks for test rack control.
- Debug and resolve timing, synchronization, and execution issues.
- Validate software interfaces with hardware instrumentation.
- Author and execute automated regression suites for test equipment.
- Collaborate with electrical/mechanical engineers to integrate rack automation.
- Ensure logging, traceability, and auditability of all automated processes.

Work Environment:
This position is based in a professional office setting and regularly utilizes workplace technology, including computers, smartphones, multifunction printers, cloud-based filing systems, and collaboration tools.
Physical Demands:
This role requires physical capabilities that support the successful execution of key responsibilities. The employee regularly engages in verbal and written communication with colleagues and clients to address project-related inquiries and must be able to convey accurate information clearly and efficiently. The position involves remaining seated at a workstation for approximately 75% of the time, with occasional movement throughout the office to access equipment, supplies, and shared resources. Daily tasks include consistent use of computers and standard office technology such as keyboards, printers, and multifunction devices. The role also involves transporting equipment boxes weighing up to 25 pounds within the building and to other offsite locations as needed for project support.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years test automation/HIL systems experience, * 2+ years test automation/HIL systems experience.
- 3+ years software and Windows Powershell/Linux bash shell proficiency
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD.
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing techniques.
- Strong proficiency in Linux server management, including shell scripting and system troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and environment management.
- Familiarity with Python and LabVIEW for test automation and hardware interfacing.
- Experience with IP network protocols and configurations in a software integration context.
- Familiarity with aerospace software validation standards., * Master's in Computer/Electrical Engineering.
- Prior aerospace or avionics software I&T experience.
- Familiarity with NASA test documentation standards.
Other Requirements
- Onsite in Redmond, WA; lab presence required.
