Job description
We are a Phoenix law firm with approximately 60 attorneys seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist/Systems Administrator to maintain our end-user technology environment, support our legal-specific applications, and serve as the primary backup to our IT Director.
Essential Functions
The essential functions involved include, but are not limited to:
- Responding to and resolving help desk issues for attorneys, paralegals, and staff in a timely, professional manner.
- Setting up and managing user accounts across all firm systems, including onboarding and offboarding.
- Performing workstation setup, imaging, patch management, and hardware lifecycle management.
- Serving as backup for Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 tenant administration.
- Assisting with monitoring of LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and network switches.
- Supporting and maintaining the firm's document management system, including matter workspaces and data exports.
- Providing litigation technology support, including Trial Director, eDiscovery tools, and courtroom technology.
- Supporting docketing systems, including audits, calendar rules updates, and user training.
- Following and enforcing the firm's cybersecurity policies, including MFA and endpoint protection.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and asset inventory.
- Assisting with other related duties and ad hoc projects as requested.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of IT support experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Associate or bachelor's degree, or comparable hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration - Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory: user management, group policies, and permissions.
- Solid support skills for Windows 11 environments.
- Understanding of basic networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN troubleshooting.
- Experience with remote support tools such as ConnectWise, TeamViewer, or equivalent.
- High level of personal integrity and discretion with confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with legal software (iManage, Clio, Aderant, or similar platforms) a plus.
- Experience with MDM/Intune, backup platforms (Veeam, Datto), or PowerShell scripting a plus.
- Familiarity with AI platforms generally, and specifically their integration into a law firm environment, a plus.
- Must be able to lift and move IT equipment up to 40 lbs., * How many years of experience do you have working in a law firm or professional services environment?, * IT support: 3 years (Preferred)
