Job description
The ESS Workgroup / Technical Specialist I will provide troubleshooting and diagnostic assistance to all KMBS support channels. Additionally, support will be provided to the Product Planning Team and the Customer Engagement Center. The Specialist will work with software application programs to resolve workflow issues within a customer's document management environment.
The ESS Workgroup / Technical Specialist I will obtain training on all applicable Konica Minolta Office Products. Direct assistance will be provided to SSD, Customer Support Center (CSC), and District Service Manager (DSM) team members. The Specialist will work with Quality & System Support (QSS) to author applicable technical bulletins., * Obtain training on all current Konica Minolta products
- Provide support to the Marketing team and the Customer Engagement Center
- Assist in product launch/pioneer meetings
- Be a mod meeting captain for the product(s) for which you are considered to be an SME
- Provide system integration support and diagnostic assistance to all KMBS channels using mechanical knowledge and Konica Minolta systems knowledge. This includes the main body configuration support
- Effectively work with sales and marketing channels to provide pre-and post-sales support, including proof of concept testing
- Interface with software/ application for resolution of print issues
- Provide assistance to Customer Support Center (CSC) specialists
- Assist Quality & System Support (QSS) in the authoring/creation of technical bulletins
Requirements
- Associate's degree or technical certification required, or 5+ years of industry experience in multifunctional device or software support
- Familiarity with Windows and MAC OS. Competency in installing printer drivers, firmware, and related software on user devices and office networks
- Experience troubleshooting network issues related to printers
- Experience installing and troubleshooting software solutions (PaperCut, ySoft, etc.) preferred
- Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies, gears, rollers, and other hardware components common in copiers and related office equipment
- Familiarity with circuits, wiring, fuses, sensors, motors, and printed circuit boards. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Superior verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong technical background, especially in digital/connected products, electronics, and process workflow knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of industry, KM Products (a plus), services, and solutions offerings
- Working knowledge of Adobe CS, and Acrobat skills
- Ability to interpret and condense complex information into a concise summary for audience members with varied degrees of technical acumen
- N+ certification is desired but not required
- Able to relate to both technical and sales audiences in a professional, personable, and persuasive manner
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- High degree of self-motivation to succeed and effectively manage multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
