Job description

We are seeking a customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide first- and second-level technical support for end users. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate has strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a desire to resolve issues efficiently., * Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows workstations, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VPN, email, and business applications
  • Image, deploy, and inventory computer equipment
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Support remote users using remote assistance tools
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and procedures within the IT ticketing system
  • Assist with workstation upgrades, equipment moves, and technology refresh projects
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
  • Help identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of desktop support or help desk experience
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus
  • Experience supporting Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and common desktop hardware
  • Disciplined, systematic problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-starter who works well both independently and with a team
  • This job supports our two manufacturing facilities in Hamden and Wallingford CT and will require on-site support at both locations
