Job description
Responsible for planning, executing, and supporting the migration of applications and infrastructure to cloud environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient deployment across enterprise platforms. Performs cloud readiness assessments, migrates workloads, administers Windows, Linux, AIX, and Solaris operating systems, and leverages Infrastructure as Code (IaC), scripting, and automation tools to streamline cloud provisioning and operations. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud architectures, troubleshoot migration issues, and support ongoing cloud infrastructure management.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience migrating applications and infrastructure to cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with virtualization technologies, server operating system administration (Windows, Linux, AIX, and Solaris), and cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or AWS CloudFormation.Relevant cloud certification, such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent.
