This role is an individual-contributor analyst focused on executive-level cybersecurity portfolio reporting. The primary responsibility is to independently own leadership-ready reporting and presentations from end to end-curating inputs across cybersecurity teams, applying critical thinking, and translating complex information into clear, decision-ready narratives for senior leaders.
The role requires strong judgment, executive communication skills, and the ability to synthesize portfolio-level themes, risks, and priorities rather than simply compiling updates. Success in this role depends on independence, attention to detail, and comfort operating with minimal direction while supporting high-visibility leadership and governance forums.
The Cybersecurity Portfolio Reporting Analyst will work as part of the Cybersecurity Portfolio Management team in coordinating, overseeing, and reporting on American's cybersecurity initiatives. This individual will assist in the planning, monitoring, and reporting of cybersecurity efforts, ensuring compliance with work management best practices, and providing analysis on the overall cybersecurity program. The Cybersecurity Portfolio Reporting Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, cybersecurity product teams, and executive stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of cybersecurity projects and initiatives and their visibility to leadership.
In a given week, this individual will likely be required to assist in one or move of these primary activities:
- Working with a variety of stakeholders to prepare PowerPoint presentations for quarterly and ad hoc reviews with executive leadership
- Working with the metrics team and metrics owners to collect, validate, and report on cybersecurity metrics
- Working with Project Leads and Product Owners to provide guidance on Agile work management requirements to facilitate automated status reporting

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
