Job description
You'll take end-to-end ownership of our infrastructure platforms-both on-premises and Microsoft Azure-using automation and DevOps practices to keep services reliable, scalable, and secure. The role blends hands-on operations with engineering and platform evolution, working closely with Security, DevOps, Workplace, and Application teams to support our digital transformation., As part of the Core IT Infrastructure team, the Infrastructure Engineer will contribute to the following activities:
Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Manage and monitor hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + Azure cloud)
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of platforms
- Handle incident, problem, and change management processes
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for complex infrastructure issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and deliver long-term fixes
Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Design, deploy, and operate Azure infrastructure (IaaS & PaaS)
- Support platform standardization and scalability efforts
- Take part in architecture design and technical roadmap discussions
DevOps & Automation
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Help develop CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git)
- Streamline operational tasks through automation (PowerShell, scripting)
- Champion DevOps culture across the team
Security & Compliance (ISO27001)
- Apply security baselines, patching, and hardening standards
- Assist with ISO27001 controls implementation and compliance
- Work alongside InfoSec on vulnerability management and remediation
- Help ensure audit readiness and supporting documentation
Resilience & Continuity
- Uphold backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans
- Participate in testing and enhancing recovery processes
Continuous Improvement
- Track performance and identify optimization opportunities
- Support capacity planning and Azure cost optimization (FinOps awareness)
- Suggest improvements to infrastructure, processes, and tools
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Produce and update technical documentation and knowledge base
- Share best practices and help upskill the team
Requirements
- Hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + cloud)
- Azure services (compute, networking, identity, storage, ..)
- OS (Windows / Linux)
Practical experience with:
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- CI/CD and DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, Git)
- Automation (PowerShell, scripting)
Good understanding of:
- Virtualization (VMware / Proxmox)
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewall)
- Backup & DR solutions
- Security best practices and ISO27001 controls, * Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Organized, structured & detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different teams
- Curious & willing to continuously learn new technologies and security trends
- Proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset
- Strong communication & coordination skills
- Team player with a practical and solution-oriented approach
Languages
- Fluent in French (working language of the IT team)
- Professional English required (working language of EVS world wide)
