Job description

  • Develop and enhance maritime sensor-, navigation-, and automation-systems in close collaboration with your team and stakeholders
  • Plan and implement software tasks, including effort estimates, technical implementation, integration, testing, and documentation
  • Continuously improve our delivery efficiency and quality, including domain understanding, automation, and AI-assisted development
  • Contribute ideas on how we can improve our engineering culture, methods, processes, and collaboration
  • Depending on your experience level, take broader ownership for technical concepts, architecture, coordination, mentoring, or cross-team alignment

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Relevant experience in software development - from first practical experience to several years of professional experience
  • Strong analytical thinking, willingness to learn, quality awareness, and interest in high-end solutions for the global maritime market
  • An affinity for AI-assisted development and motivation to expand the use of AI pragmatically and responsibly, both in engineering and in our products
  • Very good written and spoken English; Spanish is helpful for local collaboration
  • Nice to have: experience with complex software systems as well as C++, Python, Qt/QML or ROS2, * Ability to take technical ownership for larger work packages or software systems
  • Confidence in applying modern software engineering practices and making pragmatic technical decisions
  • Experience coordinating with stakeholders, supporting planning and risk management, or guiding other engineers
  • Motivation to actively help shape the build-up of the Valencia site, including engineering culture, processes, efficiency, and innovation
