Job description

You will support our data engineering and analytics delivery, with a primary focus on maintaining, enhancing and building the processes feeding our client's Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW). This is a learning-oriented role with strong mentorship, ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals., * Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting ELT/integration processes that feed the EDW for our retail clients

  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation, issue diagnosis, and basic transformations
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for data processing, automation, and support tasks
  • Perform basic data quality checks, reconciliation, and analytics
  • Support report development and enhancements within Strategy (previously MicroStrategy) & Power BI
  • Participate in our rotating support/on-call rota (with full senior guidance)
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and document processes

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in SQL (querying, joins, aggregations, analytical functions)
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scripting and automation)
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field
  • Eagerness to learn, strong problem-solving attitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with occasional out-of-hours support as part of a rota

Nice-to-Have

  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts
  • Exposure to BI platforms like Strategy & Power BI
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Git, or monitoring tools
  • Experience with retail or transactional data
  • Interest in AI tools for data engineering and analytics

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
