Job description
If you're looking to take an exciting new direction with your HSBC career, an internal move can open the door to many opportunities, allowing you to take on a new challenge, and develop your skills. Bring your knowledge of our brand to a new role and grow yourself further.
We are seeking an AI Project Manager
In this fantastic role, you'll help build the shared AI 'paved road' that teams across regions and businesses will rely on, working with senior stakeholders, Engineering, AI/ML, and governance to turn AI capabilities into repeatable, controlled, enterprise-grade services.
It's high visibility, cross-boundary work with real impact and a strong career runway into platform leadership and strategic delivery.
A move across the business allows you to continue to access tailored professional development opportunities, and our fantastic benefits packages.
In this role, you will:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AI platform initiatives (from intake * scope * build * launch)
- Own delivery planning: scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and roadmap alignment
- Run execution control, track progress, manage RAID (risks/issues/actions/dependencies), unblock and escalate when needed.
- Translate ambiguity into requirements: user stories/functional specs with agreed acceptance criteria and cross-team sign-off
- Operate Agile cadence: PI planning, sprint ceremonies, backlog prioritisation support, reporting, and continuous process improvement
Requirements
- Extensive Project Manager / Delivery Manager / Business Analyst experience within technical initiatives.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, cross-functional platform or infrastructure work (multiple stakeholders)
- Strong requirements structuring experience including turning vague asks into clear scope, user stories/specs, and testable outcomes
- Solid Agile/SDLC knowledge (Scrum/SAFe), plus hands-on Jira/Confluence usage
- Confidence operating with governance, risk, compliance, and controls in a regulated environment; AI/LLM platform exposure is a plus
