Job description
- We will rely on you to design, install and support server infrastructure across our Council estate.
- We will expect you to provide hardware and software support.
- We will expect you to deliver second- and third-line operational support.
- We will rely on you to resolve service requests, incidents and complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- We will expect you to support our Microsoft and Linux server environment across two datacentres.
- We will require you to travel between Council offices and schools as service needs arise.

Requirements
- We are looking for an experienced IT professional with strong technical expertise in server infrastructure.
- We require experience in the design, installation and ongoing support of server environments.
- We require experience with both Microsoft and Linux servers.
- We require experience working across physical and virtual server platforms.
- We ask applicants to clearly evidence essential and desirable criteria from the Job Description and Person Specification, particularly common and server team experience.
- Access to a vehicle or pool car is necessary, as travel to Council offices and schools will be required.
- Regular in-person attendance in Lochgilphead is essential, alongside a hybrid working arrangement.
