Job description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer IV, you will lead cloud-native infrastructure design and management focusing on Kubernetes and AWS EKS, driving reliability, automation, and collaboration across teams while mentoring junior engineers., As a DevOps Engineer IV, you will lead the design, implementation, manage, support and operation of cloud-native infrastructure and container orchestration platforms, with a primary focus on Kubernetes and AWS EKS.

This role is responsible for driving platform reliability, scalability, automation, and operational excellence across critical SaaS and cloud-based workloads.

You will work closely with Cloud Architecture, Security, and Engineering teams to modernize infrastructure, implement best practices, and enable application teams through self-service and platform capabilities.

You will function as a senior technical leader, contributing to architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and operational standards., Kubernetes & Platform Engineering

  • Design, deploy, and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters, primarily on AWS EKS
  • Build and maintain containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes best practices
  • Define and enforce standards for containerization, deployment patterns, and cluster operations
  • Implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant platform architectures

Infrastructure & Automation

  • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Develop reusable modules and automation frameworks to enable self-service infrastructure
  • Drive infrastructure standardization, cost optimization, and performance improvements

CI/CD & DevOps Enablement

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery
  • Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and deployment strategies (blue/green, canary)
  • Enable development teams with tooling, templates, and best practices for DevOps adoption

Observability & Reliability

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for Kubernetes workloads and infrastructure
  • Define SLOs/SLIs and drive improvements in system reliability and performance
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement efforts

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure Kubernetes and cloud environments meet security and compliance standards
  • Implement secure configurations, access controls, and audit capabilities
  • Partner with InfoSec teams to manage risk and compliance initiatives

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support
  • Collaborate with Cloud Architects and cross-functional teams to define platform strategy
  • Contribute to technical documentation, architecture reviews, and internal knowledge sharing

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Leading Kubernetes (EKS) platform strategy and operational excellence initiatives
  • Driving containerization and modernization efforts across applications
  • Partnering with engineering teams to optimize deployment and runtime performance
  • Supporting incident response and participating in on-call rotations
  • Continuously improving automation, observability, and reliability capabilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes including production cluster operations
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker
  • Deep experience with AWS, including Amazon EKS
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation)
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or similar)
  • Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Experience with Git-based workflows and version control best practices
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis experience
  • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills

Preferred:

  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes-specific certifications such as CKA/CKAD)
  • Experience implementing security best practices for Kubernetes (RBAC, network policies, secrets management)
  • Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
  • Experience with multi-cluster or hybrid Kubernetes environments
