Job description
In a rapidly evolving context of digitalisation and cybersecurity, EPFL's Information Systems Domain (DSI) is responsible for implementing EPFL's digital strategy to remain at the forefront in this area. These tasks include implementing EPFL's IT strategy, digitalising business processes, IT security, managing central IT infrastructures and business applications. Main tasks and responsibilities
- Managing EPFL's telecommunications infrastructures within a team of 5 people
- Diagnosing, preventing and repairing faults and malfunctions
- Handling incidents and requests in ServiceNow
- Managing cabling, active equipment and information system security
- Implementing and operating monitoring solutions
- Participating in projects to develop communication infrastructures
- Operational support in datacentres for infrastructures and network
Requirements
- Higher diploma in computer science (HES, university or EPF) or equivalent professional training (BAC,-)
- Network certifications (e.g.: Cisco, HP,-)
- Excellent technical knowledge of network and system infrastructures and technologies
- Knowledge of the most commonly used operating systems on site (Mac OS, Windows and Linux)
- Proficiency in SQL and good knowledge of Python
- Fluency in French and English essential (spoken and written)
- Team spirit and ability to conduct technical investigations or implementations
- Strong service orientation and initiative
