Job description

The IT organization of X-FAB France, based in Corbeil-Essonnes, is looking for a Network RUN & Architecture Engineer.

You will join an international industrial group and work closely with the Group IT teams in an environment where infrastructure availability, performance, and reliability are critical business requirements.

In this role, and in close collaboration with both local and global teams, you will contribute to the operation, security, and evolution of the site's network and telephony infrastructures.

Your Responsibilities

Operations (RUN) & Infrastructure Management

  • Ensure the operational maintenance of network and system infrastructures (Linux/Unix and Windows).
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and capacity indicators.
  • Guarantee the availability, performance, and security of infrastructures within a critical industrial environment.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support by handling incidents and problem resolution.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage equipment configurations and backups.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and capacity metrics.
  • Administer and enhance network infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, Proxy, Radius, PKI, etc.).

Projects & Architecture

  • Lead or contribute to network evolution projects (LAN, Wi-Fi, telephony).
  • Participate in the design and evolution of the site's network architecture.
  • Integrate new solutions and ensure their successful deployment into production.
  • Provide network expertise for local and Group IT projects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructures and operational practices.
  • Participate in the standardization and optimization of network solutions.

Security

  • Ensure the security of network infrastructures and data flows.
  • Contribute to the implementation of security policies (segmentation, access control, filtering).
  • Administer firewalls and security solutions in collaboration with Group Security teams.
  • Identify, plan, and deploy security updates and patches for network equipment and services.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (Bac+5) in Engineering or an equivalent qualification, with a specialization in Networking.
  • Fluent in both English and French, written and spoken (minimum B2 level).
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Network Expert.
  • Strong knowledge of high-availability network architectures.
  • Good system administration skills in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
  • Solid understanding of network and system security concepts.
  • Methodical, rigorous, and well-organized, with a strong sense of responsibility in a demanding production environment.
