Job description
This is a hands-on senior engineering role requiring 4-5+ years of AWS expertise. You'll initially join one of our flagship product teams in marketing and campaign management - delivering the right product to the right customer through AI-driven, hyper-personalized touchpoints.
You will:
- Take full technical ownership of our platform and data pipelines, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and future-ready.
- Collaborate with product leads on robust architectural designs to support platform growth.
- Work closely with stakeholders across business, cloud & infrastructure, and other data teams on FinOps, security, and audit requirements.
- Influence wider organizational initiatives around AI integration, data strategy, and engineering excellenc

- 4-5+ years of AWS experience in production-grade environments.
- Strong Python skills (FastAPI, Pydantic), managing queue workers & batch jobs on AWS.
- Infrastructure-as-Code expertise (Terraform), CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
- Designing cloud-native architectures with AWS ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, Kubernetes/ECS.
- Deep knowledge of AWS security best practices (IAM, VPC, encryption, data retention).
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills, both technical & non-technical.
- Experience mentoring peers, conducting code reviews, and driving engineering standards.
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus); candidates must already live in the Netherlands.
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience with real-time data processing (AWS Kinesis, Kafka).
- Familiarity with observability tools (Elastic Stack, Datadog) and FinOps cost management.
- Exposure to data engineering & ML tools (pandas, polars, pyspark, MLFlow, LightGBM).
- Django full-stack development skills.
