As a Cloud Security Engineer you will lead the design, implementation and hardening of secure Microsoft cloud environments, helping organisations strengthen their security posture through modern identity, infrastructure and automation.
Working across Microsoft Entra, Azure and Microsoft 365, you'll architect secure cloud platforms, implement robust identity and access controls and deliver well designed landing zones, networking and RBAC models that provide a strong foundation for enterprise security. You'll assess customer environments, remediate security gaps, deploy Microsoft Defender and Sentinel solutions and build automated, repeatable security controls using Infrastructure as Code and scripting (Terraform).
This is a highly technical, customer-facing role where you'll lead security engagements from discovery through to delivery, shaping solutions, explaining technical decisions and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. You'll also contribute to solution design, estimates and pre-sales activities while working closely with internal specialists, managed SOC providers and customer stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable cloud platforms.
Requirements
- You have experience designing and securing Microsoft cloud platforms, Microsoft Entra, Azure and Microsoft 365
- You have experience in a similar MSP (Managed Services) environment
- You can architect and implement IAM, including Conditional Access, Azure RBAC and secure landing zones aligned to industry best practices
- You have experience improving cloud security posture through Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel (or equivalent SIEM / SOAR) and security automation
- You have Azure infrastructure knowledge, including networking, multi-region architectures, hub-and-spoke topologies and the cloud foundations that underpin secure environment
- You're proficient with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or similar) and automation using PowerShell and / or Python
- You're comfortable leading customer engagements, translating technical concepts into business outcomes and contributing to solution design, estimates and pre-sales activities
