Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional IT Support Engineer to join a growing IT team, providing onsite support to a school in Thetford. It is an initial 4-month contract role with an option to become permanent., This is a field-based role where you'll work directly with customers, delivering day-to-day IT support, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure., * Provide onsite and remote IT support.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Manage and update support tickets with clear documentation.
- Keep customers informed on progress and resolution of issues.
- Prioritise and escalate tickets where required.
- Carry out routine IT maintenance tasks.
- Identify and report potential opportunities for additional IT solutions.
Requirements
We're looking for candidates with experience supporting and troubleshooting:
- Windows 10/11
- Desktop and laptop hardware
- Microsoft 365 and Office applications
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Windows Server and Hyper-V
- Google Chromebooks and Google Workspace
- Printers and print management
- Device deployment and imaging
- Mobile Device Management (MDM)
- Networking, switches, Wi-Fi and patching
- Antivirus and endpoint security
- Interactive classroom technology (touchscreens, projectors, smartboards)
Experience within the education sector is beneficial but not essential.
