Senior Infrastructure Engineer | £80,000 - £100,000 | London (4 Days Onsite) | Global Brand
Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing IT team in a modern, cloud-first environment. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, support, and optimisation of both Azure cloud and on-premises infrastructure services, ensuring the availability, security, scalability, and performance of critical business systems.
Working across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and endpoint management technologies, you will play a key role in delivering infrastructure improvements, supporting business growth, and driving technical best practices. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional looking to work with the latest Microsoft technologies while contributing to strategic technology initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support Azure infrastructure and services
- Manage Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, and endpoint security
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
- Automate infrastructure using PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep
- Monitor platform health and security using Azure monitoring tools
- Provide technical leadership, documentation, and project support
Skills & Experience
- Infrastructure, Systems, or Cloud Engineering
- Strong Azure administration experience
- Windows Server and Active Directory expertise
- Microsoft 365 and Intune administration experience
- PowerShell Scripting and automation skills
- Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Routing)
- Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
- Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, SC-300)
- Terraform, Bicep, or Infrastructure as Code experience
- Microsoft Sentinel, Defender Suite, or security framework knowledge
- Experience in regulated or financial services environments
