Job description

As our Salesforce footprint expands across Europe, we are seeking a Salesforce Deployment Project Manager to lead our "land-and-expand" rollout across EU offices.

This is a high-impact, hybrid role requiring a unique blend of program management, change management, and hands-on Salesforce platform knowledge. You will act as both the facilitator of international growth and the guardian of our global Salesforce configuration standard.

Partnering closely with the Salesforce Product Owner, you will guide regional stakeholders through the rollout, championing the global template. You must possess the judgment to recognize when local regulatory or business needs justify a system exception, and the confidence to hold the line and say "no" when they do not. Key Responsibilities1. EU Deployment Leadership

  • End-to-End Delivery: Own the full deployment lifecycle-from initial discovery and fit-gap assessments to configuration, testing, go-live, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Rollout Strategy: Lead the sequential, low-risk rollout of the global Salesforce standard across new EU offices and business lines (including Jersey, Luxembourg, and the UK).
  • Planning & Governance: Establish detailed deployment plans, readiness criteria, and go/no-go gates aligned with the broader program framework.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Align diverse teams including IT, Business Analysts, Data Migration, Compliance, and regional business leaders.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate multi-jurisdictional risks, including data residency, local process variances, and regulatory timelines.
  1. Global Governance & Exception Management
  • Champion the Standard: Advocate for a "reuse before build, standard before exception" mindset across all EU deployments.
  • Manage Deviations: Own the formal exception process. Capture business cases, lead them through the Design/Architecture Review process, and ensure only business-critical customization is built.
  • Collaborate & Challenge: Partner with the Salesforce Product Owner on release scope and backlog priorities, constructively representing EU needs while protecting platform integrity.
  • Formal Escalation: Route configuration disputes through formal governance boards (Design Authority / Change Board) to ensure transparent, documented decision-making.
  • Audit Trail: Maintain a living register of approved exceptions, documenting their business rationale and long-term supportability impact.
  1. Change Management & User Adoption
  • Drive Readiness: Design and execute market-specific change management plans covering stakeholder mapping, communication campaigns, and training.
  • Own Adoption Outcomes: Monitor post-launch user adoption, proactively diagnosing blockers and deploying targeted interventions to ensure long-term ROI.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Build trusted relationships with senior regional stakeholders, translating technical platform decisions into clear business outcomes.
  1. Reporting & Stakeholder Management
  • PMO Integration: Deliver structured status updates, RAID logs, and benefits tracking to the PMO and Steering Committee.
  • Feedback Loop: Synthesize deployment insights into structured feedback for the Product Owner, highlighting genuine gaps in the global standard.

Requirements

  • Project Delivery: 5+ years of project/program management experience, specifically delivering enterprise-level CRM or platform rollouts.
  • Salesforce Expansions: Proven track record of managing Salesforce deployments across multiple regions or complex business units.
  • Change Leader: Strong experience driving user adoption and change management, not just technical deployment.
  • Governance Mindset: Experience working within a global-template or "land-and-expand" model, with a disciplined approach to managing customizations.
  • Industry Context: Experience navigating multi-jurisdiction regulatory environments (data residency, compliance) within financial services or fund administration is highly preferred.

Technical & Salesforce Savvy

  • Platform Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales/Service Cloud, data models, security architecture, and release management).
  • Credible Communicator: Ability to collaborate constructively with administrators, developers, and Product Owners on configuration trade-offs (no coding required).
  • Release Management: Understanding of Salesforce deployment pipelines, sandboxes, and UAT cycles to build realistic project timelines.

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and manage senior executive stakeholders across geographies.
  • Collaborative Backbone: Comfortable standing your ground on governance and standards while remaining collaborative and solutions-oriented.
  • Proactive Foresight: Strong risk-mitigation skills, addressing potential roadblocks before they escalate to steering committees., * Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Project Management: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
  • Salesforce & Change: Salesforce Administrator certification preferred; Change Management certifications (e.g., Prosci) are a major plus.
