Job description
Design, implement, and operate Semtech's global network across 30+ sites. Support LAN/WAN, firewalls, SD-WAN, cloud networking (AWS/Azure), VPNs, automation, and lifecycle maintenance. Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to ensure network resilience, performance, and security while leading strategic initiatives like zero-trust and VPN modernization., This role requires both hands-on technical depth and the ability to contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy in a fast-moving semiconductor company. The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, and operational excellence of Semtech's global network infrastructure, spanning 30+ sites across North America, EMEA, and APAC. This role owns a broad technology portfolio including Palo Alto next-generation firewalls, Aryaka SD-WAN, LAN/WAN architecture, Cisco L2/L3 network devices, and cloud networking across AWS and Azure environments. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise across routing, switching, firewall policy, and network security, combined with the ability to lead strategic initiatives such as zero-trust adoption, VPN modernization, and cross-regional connectivity projects. Working closely with the IT Infrastructure, Security, and Cloud teams, this role plays a key part in ensuring network resilience, performance, and security for a fast-growing global semiconductor company.
Responsibilities:
- Support IT Engineering, IT Support and EDA teams on network related topics
- Maintain our actual infrastructure (Patching, devices lifecycle,…)
- Design and implement new solutions, Manage design and delivery of reusable, AI-ready data products for retail-banking portfolios. Develop interoperable data-engineering artifacts, enable self-service analytics, maintain data marketplace, oversee data policies, integrity, budgeting, stakeholder alignment, and lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred), or equivalent work experience

5-8 years of experience in network administration, IT engineering, or related role

Comprehensive knowledge of networking principles and practices

Advanced experience with network architecture and technology integration

Demonstrated success in network leadership in a technical environment

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $75K - $120K.
