Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support a large healthcare client's Product organization and help drive the evolution of PBM-focused data products through advanced analytics, AI/LLM capabilities, and intelligent automation. This individual will partner closely with Product Managers, Data Engineers, QA Engineers, and UX/UI teams to analyze complex datasets, identify data gaps and opportunities, improve model performance, and develop data-driven solutions that enhance product intelligence and user experience. The role will play a key part in supporting chatbot, generative AI, and recommendation engine initiatives, including evaluating AI-generated outputs, refining business logic, and helping define requirements for new AI-enabled product features. The ideal candidate combines strong data science fundamentals with hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, and Databricks, and has experience applying AI/ML solutions to real-world business challenges. Requirements

required, with PBM experience strongly preferred, as the team is seeking someone who can quickly contribute to a fast-paced, product-focused environment and help deliver smarter, more scalable, and self-serviceable solutions., * 7-10+ (more like 7-8 ) years of experience in Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience supporting AI/ML initiatives, including LLMs, NLP, chatbots, recommendation engines, or similar intelligent products
  • Healthcare experience; PBM experience strongly preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL
  • Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based analytics platforms
  • Strong analytical background with experience evaluating complex datasets and identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Experience partnering with Product Managers, Data Engineers, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions and actionable recommendations
  • Experience applying machine learning frameworks
  • Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind
  • Implement analytical models in production by collaborating with data engineers

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience with chatbot optimization, prompt engineering, or conversational AI
  • Experience with BigQuery and/or Gemini
  • Experience working with front-end product teams and user-facing applications (don't need these bullet points)
  • Exposure to healthcare contract data, business rules engines, or impact analysis workflows
