Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Payroll Analyst to support, optimize, and enhance our Workday Payroll environment. This role combines payroll operations expertise with Workday configuration, production support, reporting, and integration troubleshooting. You will partner with Payroll, HR, Finance, Benefits, and IT teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll processing while driving continuous system improvements., * Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support for Workday Payroll and related modules.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll processing issues, calculation discrepancies, integration failures, and data quality concerns.

  • Manage support incidents, service requests, and enhancements while meeting established SLAs.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective and preventive solutions.

  • Support payroll processing activities, including:

  • Earnings and deductions

  • Taxes and garnishments

  • Retroactive payroll

  • Off-cycle payrolls

  • Payroll balancing and reconciliation

Configure and maintain Workday Payroll, including payroll elements, earning codes, deduction plans, payroll calculations, costing allocations, payroll schedules, business processes, and security roles.

Implement payroll configuration changes driven by business, organizational, or legislative requirements.

Ensure payroll processes comply with applicable tax regulations, labor laws, statutory reporting requirements, and internal controls.

Support internal and external payroll audits and compliance activities.

Maintain and troubleshoot payroll integrations with third-party systems, including:

  • Time & Attendance
  • Benefits providers
  • Finance/ERP applications
  • Banking interfaces
  • Tax and regulatory agencies

Perform integration monitoring, reconciliation, and error resolution.

Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and audit controls to support payroll operations and compliance.

Evaluate Workday biannual releases, assess business impact, and coordinate testing and deployment activities.

Lead payroll testing initiatives, including Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Finance, Benefits, Time Tracking, and IT teams to support business operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Workday Payroll Certification required.
  • 6+ years of experience supporting HRIS, Payroll Systems, or Payroll Operations.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll administration and support experience.
  • Strong experience configuring and supporting Workday Payroll.
  • Deep understanding of payroll processing, payroll calculations, costing, retro payroll, reconciliations, payroll auditing, and payroll security.
  • Experience supporting payroll integrations with third-party vendors and enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex production issues.
  • Experience developing Workday reports and dashboards.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, statutory reporting, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting Workday biannual releases and testing cycles (Unit, SIT, and UAT).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills., * Experience supporting multi-country or global payroll operations.
  • Experience with Workday Prism Analytics and/or Workday People Analytics.
  • Knowledge of Workday Time Tracking, Benefits, and HCM modules.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise Workday environments.

Benefits & conditions

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $107,156-$198,438. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
