Job description

Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all hardware. Image computer as needed.

Troubleshoot applications, adobe suite, Office, Zoom?etc Assist with maintenance of inventory, Lansweeper.

Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all software packages.

Assembly, maintenance, and repair of computer hardware (motherboards, RAM, Hard drives, etc). The ability to effectively and accurately diagnose hardware issues is a must.

Deploy and configure both IP phones and the the IP PBX Install and manage IP cameras.

Provide user assistance to faculty and students.

Perform regular hardware/software maintenance. Provide IT Service Desk phone coverage.

Service and repair LCD projectors and other classroom technologies. Troubleshoot both Student and Staff wireless issues

Work with the NIS Department on various projects

Write articles and otherwise contribute to the knowledgebase.

Provide evening support on a rotating four-week on-call schedule, as well as coverage for special events as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements

1-2 years directly related experience minimum requirement; associate's degree, A+ and Network+ preferred.

The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work as a team and independently and provide excellent customer service.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry supplies pertaining to the job (not over 50 pounds).

Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend, hear, speak, see documents and computer terminal, and have dexterity to operate various machines essential to the job.

Associates degree in Computer Technology or equivalent theoretical depth.

Strong working knowledge of Computer maintenance and troubleshooting.

Minimum 1-2 years experience in computer operations and repair and installations.

Excellent customer service skills

Should be comfortable managing multiple simultaneous projects.

A+ and Network+ preferred but not required. Skills and concepts covered in these certifications is a must.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable offering support over the phone, and be able to support users remotely.
Benefits & conditions
The estimated wage is $23 per hour for 37.5 hours per week for 52 weeks.
