Job description
CGI is looking to hire a Full Stack Java Developer (Angular-focused development) specializing in building secure, scalable, and high-performance GraphQL and RESTful APIs to work on projects for one of the largest financial institutions in the US. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing modern front-end applications and backend microservices, with a strong emphasis on GraphQL schema design, API development, and integration., * Design and implement Angular-based user interfaces and backend API/microservices.

Build and maintain GraphQL APIs, including schema design, resolvers, queries, mutations, and subscriptions.

Develop and support RESTful and GraphQL services that integrate with internal and external systems.

Build User Interfaces using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.

Develop and unit test Java services using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.

Collaborate with business, design, and technical teams to define API contracts and data models.

Optimize GraphQL queries for performance, scalability, and security.

Create and maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI and GraphQL schema documentation.
Requirements
-
6+ years of Java/J2EE development experience.

3+ years of GraphQL development experience, including:
o Schema design and modeling
o Query and mutation development
o Resolver implementation
o GraphQL security and performance optimization
o Apollo Server, Apollo Client, or equivalent GraphQL frameworks

6+ years of Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Node.js.

3+ years developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

3+ years building containerized microservices and deploying applications in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.

Experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, JSON, XML, Swagger/OpenAPI.

Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.

Experience writing unit and integration tests for Java and JavaScript applications.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Apollo GraphQL ecosystem.

Experience implementing GraphQL Federation and API Gateway patterns.

Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

Experience in financial services or banking applications.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $70,800.00 $156,700.00.
