Job description

Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions., Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support our Cyber Mission business unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of cloud-based applications that directly support critical national security missions.

You will work in a collaborative Agile environment utilizing DevOps tools and modern cloud technologies to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. This position offers the opportunity to grow your technical expertise while supporting mission-focused initiatives.

This position is performed onsite at a contractor facility, with telework flexibility based on tasking and customer approval.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph
  • 2 years of software development/engineering experience or related technical experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field may be substituted for two (2) years of experience. Acceptable fields include Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience with Java development (academic or professional)
  • Experience using Git or GitLab

Additional Qualifications That Will Set You Apart, But Are Not Required

  • Exposure to full-stack development using Java and/or JavaScript

  • Familiarity with React or Vue.js

  • Experience working with REST APIs and JSON

  • Familiarity with MongoDB

  • Exposure to Docker and containerization technologies

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms

  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud environments

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins

  • Experience using Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence

  • One or more of the following certifications:

  • AWS Certified Developer - Associate

  • AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional

  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
