Job description

We are looking for a 6-month contract resource to help absorb increased operational workload driven by our new monthly PeopleSoft Critical System Patch Update (CSPU) cycle. The primary need is hands-on support executing patching and routine operational administration in an

established enterprise PeopleSoft environment. Our internal team already has the patching process scripted and documented. We are not looking for someone to design new frameworks or lead architecture work. We need a

senior-level resource who can step into an established process, execute documented procedures, troubleshoot issues during deployments, and help cover day-to-day operational work.

The primary goal for this role is to take patch execution and related operational workload off the internal team so the team can focus on higher-complexity work, planning, and other priority initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on PeopleSoft systems administration experience in enterprise environments

  • Direct experience supporting both PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and FSCM environments

  • Strong experience supporting PeopleTools environments, including:

  • PIA / WebLogic web tier

  • PeopleSoft application server domains

  • Process Scheduler domains

  • Tuxedo-based middleware components

  • Experience applying PeopleSoft / Oracle monthly patching and routine maintenance in non-production and production environments

  • Strong server-side troubleshooting and log review skills, including WebLogic, application server, process scheduler, and Tuxedo logs

  • Experience working in Linux environments and performing shell-based operational work

  • Experience working with Git-based operational documentation and scripts, preferably GitLab

  • Experience executing operational procedures using Ansible or similar automation tools

  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft administration tools such as Change Assistant, Data Mover, and Application Designer

  • Experience supporting PeopleSoft migrations and release activities through a structured migration/change-management process

  • Ability to work effectively within established operational procedures and documented runbooks with minimal ramp-up time * Experience in higher education or similarly complex enterprise PeopleSoft environments

  • Experience working in environments with documented operational runbooks, release coordination, and recurring patch cycles

  • Experience with CAPI or a similar PeopleSoft migration/change-management tool
