Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, cloud-native applications, and data platforms. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, cloud technologies, and modern software architecture. This role requires a passion for building high-performance distributed systems while mentoring team members and driving engineering best practices., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and the Spring Framework.

  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices for high availability and performance.
  • Design and maintain PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases with a focus on performance and scalability.
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS using modern container technologies.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote software engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
  • Expertise with PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
  • Experience designing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and EKS.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, code quality, and mentoring.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Kafka, Amazon SQS, or other event-driven messaging platforms.
  • Knowledge of Terraform, AWS CDK, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
