Job description

  • Design, develop, evaluate, and support infrastructure hardware systems for U.S. Navy surface ship platforms.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system design deficiencies to improve system performance, reliability, and security.
  • Develop and maintain system security documentation supporting accreditation and certification activities.
  • Support system accreditation, certification, verification, validation, and engineering test efforts throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Develop, configure, integrate, and validate hardware infrastructure solutions in a laboratory environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex computing hardware and infrastructure issues during integration and testing.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation supporting a disciplined systems engineering process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile engineering teams to deliver secure, stable, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Participate in daily Agile meetings to coordinate engineering activities, resolve technical challenges, and meet program milestones.
  • Support development of technical engineering products across all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Evaluate systems, networks, and information systems to ensure compliance with applicable government security requirements and technical standards.
  • Contribute to engineering frameworks, common infrastructure solutions, and future system enhancements across multiple programs.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline plus 8+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree plus 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting systems engineering throughout the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles, methodologies, technical standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Experience developing systems security documentation and supporting system accreditation or certification activities.
  • Experience developing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting computing hardware or infrastructure systems.
  • Understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools.
  • Experience evaluating systems, networks, and information systems for compliance with government security requirements.
  • Ability to create technical documentation supporting engineering development and configuration management., * Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring schematics, rack layouts, and parts lists.
  • Experience troubleshooting computing hardware in laboratory or customer environments.
  • Experience developing electrical schematics using Siemens Capital Logic Designer.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Navy, defense, or other Department of Defense programs.
  • Experience working within Agile engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure hardware integration, systems testing, and secure computing environments.
