Reporting to the Director of IT, this role is built for a senior individual contributor who can take strategic direction, drive technical execution end-to-end, and make sound systems decisions with minimal oversight
  • Owning Core IT Systems: Leading the administration and architecture of Google Workspace, MDM (Iru), and identity platforms (Rippling, Google Workspace), ensuring the systems that power the company run securely, efficiently, and at scale
  • Driving Technical Project Execution: Taking strategic direction from the Director of IT and own technical projects end-to-end. Define the path forward, drive execution, surface blockers proactively, and communicate progress clearly
  • Resolving Complex Technical Escalations: Serving as the senior point of escalation for Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues, partnering with the Senior IT Specialist to resolve technical challenges that fall outside their current scope
  • Leveraging AI to Drive Outcomes: Applying AI tools and automation to deliver measurable improvements in team efficiency, cost savings, and process optimization
  • Providing On-Site IT Leadership: Delivering hands-on, in-office support and serving as a senior IT presence at the El Segundo headquarters, ensuring continuity of coverage and a high-quality experience for in-office employees and guests
  • Driving Support Ticket Queue Excellence: Contributing to day-to-day ticket queue coverage alongside the team, analyzing trends and root causes to proactively eliminate recurring issues. Model a standard of responsiveness, quality, and professionalism that reflects IT's commitment to service excellence
  • Strengthening IAM and Access Governance: Supporting Rippling IAM provisioning rules, app integrations, and access governance, ensuring secure and efficient onboarding and offboarding across the company
  • Building Documentation and Knowledge: Developing and maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, and internal knowledge resources that empower the team and create operational resilience

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Apple/Mac environments, Google Workspace, MDM, and modern identity platforms, and is energized by both hands-on engineering and partnering across the team to elevate IT as a whole
  • Deep expertise in Apple/Mac environments, including macOS configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management
  • Strong networking and documentation skills, including Wi-Fi/VPN/DNS troubleshooting and clear technical writing
  • Hands-on experience supporting Mac-first, Google-centric environments at scale, with the ability to navigate complexity across systems, integrations, and end-user needs
  • Direct working knowledge of A/V and conference room technology troubleshooting experience (Google Meet, displays, microphones, soundbars)
  • SSO and identity platform experience, including Okta, Rippling, or similar identity providers, with working knowledge of provisioning, authentication, and access governance
  • Advanced Google Workspace administration experience, including directory management, group structure, security policies, shared drives, and integrations
  • 4+ years of hands-on IT engineering experience in a professional environment, with a track record of owning systems and technical projects end-to-end
  • Security awareness, including familiarity with FileVault, MFA, MDM compliance, and endpoint protection best practices
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to drive measurable outcomes, with specific examples of time savings, cost reduction, or process efficiency
  • Hands-on MDM platform experience (Jamf, Mosyle, Kandji, or equivalent), covering device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and fleet health
  • Exposure to SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks, with an understanding of how IT supports security and audit readiness
  • The ability to operate with 70%+ autonomous decision-making on technical matters and brings sound judgment to systems-level architecture and design choices
  • Strong communicator with the ability to take direction, drive technical work autonomously, surface blockers early, and partner effectively across the team
