Job description
The right candidate for this role will:
- Lead frontend and fullstack implementation workstreams for carrier and enterprise partner integrations, owning the architecture and delivery of complex, partner-specific experiences from kickoff through production
- Architect and implement scalable UI layers and API integrations, setting patterns for partner-facing surfaces that can be reused and extended across future implementations
- Author high-quality RFCs with little guidance - identifying opportunities to turn one-off partner work into reusable, maintainable patterns that reduce build time for every implementation that follows
- Partner with Implementation Managers, Business Systems Analysts, and TPMs to translate business requirements into well-scoped, actionable technical plans
- Provide technical leadership in code reviews, delivering substantive architectural feedback that raises the quality bar across the team
- Champion a consumer-first mindset - designing integrations that are intuitive for partner users and maintainable for the next engineer who touches the code
- Champion engineering excellence through comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end coverage for all partner deliverables
- Foster a security-first mindset within the team, identifying non-compliant code and ensuring reviewed contributions meet security requirements
- Define AI coding tool standards and best practices for the vertical, balancing productivity gains with quality guardrails and measuring effectiveness over time
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with significant depth in React and TypeScript
- Strong fullstack capability with professional experience in Go or Python
- Understanding of GraphQL architecture, including schema design, performance optimization, resolver patterns, and the ability to guide architectural decisions around API design
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex implementation projects end-to-end, including scoping, RFC authorship, and delivery with cross-functional partners
- Experience designing and consuming gRPC/REST APIs and building reliable integration layers between systems
- Proven track record of delivering accessible, performant, and production-ready frontend solutions that balance technical quality with delivery timelines
- Experience with modern frontend tooling including component libraries, build systems, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting technical topics and tradeoff decisions to engineering directors, implementation managers, and non-technical business stakeholders
- Peer feedback that demonstrates this person is highly looked up to technically and as a collaborator
- Experience with distributed systems or microservices preferred
- Advocate for Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and incremental software delivery
- Familiarity with AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) and the ability to evaluate AI-generated code critically for security, maintainability, and architectural alignment. Not just speed.
