Job description
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of telecommunications cabling systems.
- Support structured cabling efforts in a commercial construction and data center environment.
- Pull, route, and secure network and low-voltage cabling.
- Assist with rack and stack activities and equipment installations.
- Follow company and site safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work alongside experienced technicians to complete project milestones.
- Accurately document completed work and report progress to supervisors.

About the Opportunity TEKsystems is seeking motivated and dependable individuals to join a growing team supporting a large-scale data center and commercial construction project in the South Bend/New Carlisle area. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to start or advance their career in telecommunications, structured cabling, and low-voltage installation. No extensive telecommunications experience is required. We are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn., * High School Diploma or GED required.

Reliable transportation to the job site.

Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for up to 10+ hours per day.

Comfortable working a mandatory 50-hour work week.

Strong attendance and punctuality.

Ability to obtain OSHA 10 and Lift Certifications.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with structured cabling, low-voltage installation, or telecommunications.

Familiarity with cable pulling, rack and stack, punch-downs, or cable termination.

Commercial construction or data center experience.

Experience working with access control or security systems.
Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract position based out of New Carlisle, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
