About Us

With our strong brands GMX, WEB.DE and mail.com and over 42 million active users, we are the leading email and communications platform in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. From this strong market position, services and apps are developed that simplify users' digital lives - from office tools and cloud solutions to personal ID management.

Your Tasks

Are you passionate about Platform Engineering and currently looking for a new challenge? Then join our team!

  • You will develop and operate our Kubernetes platform on a bare-metal infrastructure with more than 85,000 CPU cores.
  • You will automate and optimize platform, build, and deployment processes using modern CI/CD practices.
  • You will maintain and enhance cloud-native platform services supporting more than 500 applications and over 42 million users.
  • You will develop Kubernetes Operators and extend our platform with technologies such as service mesh, storage, and GPU solutions.
  • You will work closely with experienced platform and infrastructure engineers and contribute to open-source technologies.

Your Profile

Do you have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable qualification, and have already gained practical experience in platform, infrastructure, or cloud environments? You do not need to master every technology mentioned below - solid foundational knowledge, a willingness to learn, and a passion for technology are what matter most. We will help you grow the rest.

  • You have experience with Kubernetes in on-premises environments as well as Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • You possess strong Linux skills and are comfortable working with technologies such as Bash, Python, and/or Go, as well as modern Git workflows.
  • You are passionate about Platform Engineering, automation, observability, testing, and operating highly scalable distributed systems.
  • You communicate confidently in English, enjoy working collaboratively in a team, and are committed to continuously developing your technical expertise.
