Job description
We are looking for a skilled Automation Support Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance automation systems and tools used across business and IT operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience in automation frameworks, and the ability to ensure system reliability and performance., * Provide L2/L3 support for automation tools, scripts, and workflows
- Monitor automation processes and ensure high availability and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, defects, and failures in automation pipelines
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve automation solutions
- Maintain and update automation scripts (Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.)
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
- Support deployment and release processes in CI/CD environments
- Maintain documentation for automation processes and support procedures
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization
Requirements
- Strong experience in automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, UiPath, Selenium, etc.)
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix and/or Windows environments
- Understanding of APIs, REST services, and integrations
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, etc.)
- Good troubleshooting and debugging skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management)
- German language skills (B1/B2 level) - preferred but not mandatory
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in rotational shifts/on-call support
- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience in RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism)
