Our Center of Excellence for Supercomputers & AI Factories is a compact team of highly skilled experts who collaborate closely with customers to maximize system performance, optimize workflows, and drive joint research and engineering projects., The role: You will work with the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS) to support the deployment and adoption of their HammerHAI factory being delivered this year. The role requires two days per week office presence at HRLS.
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer, you will:
-
Design, implement, and optimize AI/ML components and pipelines for scientific workloads running on HPC and hybrid cloud platforms.
-
Work with HLRS researchers and HPE teams to productise models, accelerate workflows on accelerated hardware, and co-develop scalable AI solutions for HammerHAI use cases., * Design and develop AI/ML models, data pipelines, and inference/training workflows tailored to scientific and engineering applications.
-
Optimize deep-learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and models for GPU/accelerator-based HPC environments, including performance tuning, mixed-precision, and distributed training.
-
Translate research prototypes into robust, maintainable code and containerized deployments; contribute enhancements and integrations for subsystems of end-user applications.
-
Create and execute testing, benchmarking, and validation plans for AI workloads; identify, debug, and remediate performance or correctness issues. Collaborate as a core member of cross-functional project teams (HLRS researchers, HPE engineers, and external partners) to deliver cost effective, high-quality AI solutions and share best practices.
-
Produce technical documentation, run knowledge-transfer sessions, and communicate project status and design proposals to stakeholders.
