Are you in?, * Shape the future: Contribute to development of the R2G Test Framework, following clean code and maintainable design principles
- Experience research: Build, maintain, and optimize GitLab CI pipelines
- Reliable work: Write, run, and improve unit and integration tests; help establish test coverage, quality gates, and test automation best practices
- Expand your horizons: Use VS Code as the primary code editor
- Take responsibility: Apply software engineering best practices: version control (Git), code reviews, branching strategies, documentation, and adherence to secure coding guidelines
- Identify needs: Where needed, author unit tests and guidelines in python and TCL (tcltest), including basic mocking/stubbing patterns, and integrate these into CI, * Working part-time: The focus is on studies. That's why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
- Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.
- You should live close to the site: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
Requirements
- Study field: Enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science or a related field, with exposure to real-world projects (preferable some work experience)
- Programming experience: In a high-level language (Python or an object-oriented language) and hands-on experience with unit and integration testing
- Experience: In working with Git and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
- Interests: Exposure to TCL or a willingness to learn TCL for unit testing and CI integration
- Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
