Job description
- End-to-End Ownership: Own the end-to-end delivery of complex traditional full-stack features and multi-agent AI workflows. Make high-level architectural decisions that balance speed, scalability, and maintainability, building reusable, user-friendly full-stack components (including conversational and chat-based UI/UX) using Vue.js, Node.js, and MongoDB.
- Security & Data Integrity: Architect secure data pipelines and robust access management systems to safely handle sensitive employee and company data across our interconnected toolstack.
- Data-Driven Iteration: Analyze agent performance analytics, workforce insights, and process outcomes to refine features iteratively, ensuring our proactive triggers and nudges provide genuine business ROI.
- Engineering Excellence & Mentorship: Ensure high-quality, reliable releases by contributing to robust testing, monitoring, and code review processes, while pioneering dedicated AI evaluation suites (evals), strict schemas for tool calling, and "human-in-the-loop" safety fallbacks. Drive organizational learning by providing mentorship and codifying standard engineering and AI patterns into the codebase., * Frontend: Vue.js, TailwindCSS, and a modern design system for a consistent, intuitive user experience
- Backend: Node.js (TypeScript) with Express, MongoDB, and NATS, built for scalability and modularity
- AI/LLMs: State-of-the-art models (e.g., from OpenAI, Anthropic) and frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph for stateful agent orchestration; implementation of advanced RAG architectures, vector databases, and observability tools (e.g., LangSmith)
- AI Developer Tooling: Extensive use of AI tools such as Cursor, CodeRabbit, and Deep Research to accelerate learning, automate repetitive tasks, and rapidly prototype and iterate on solutions
- Infrastructure & Testing: Docker and AWS; automated testing using Playwright, Vitest, Mocha/Chai, alongside dedicated AI evaluation frameworks (LLM-as-a-judge)
- Analytics & Collaboration: Mixpanel, Sentry, Datadog, GitHub, Notion, and async communication tools for transparent teamwork
Requirements
- Product Mindset: You share our belief that engineering is a product-focused discipline, and you're passionate about solving user problems with impactful, scalable solutions.
- Proven Leadership: You have significant experience leading end-to-end product development, previously operating as a tech lead, founding engineer, or senior IC at a high-growth company.
- Technical Anchor: You have a track record of making architectural decisions that shape product outcomes and establish engineering systems where your contributions make future work easier for the whole team.
- Strategic Peer: You are comfortable pushing back on product specs when technical constraints or user experience concerns warrant it.
Full-Stack & Systems Expertise
- Modern Stack Mastery: You operate confidently as a full-stack engineer with deep expertise in modern web frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React) and backend technologies (Node.js, MongoDB).
- Secure Architecture: You understand how to build secure access management for enterprise data.
- Modular Design: You have experience with design systems and building user-friendly, modular components.
AI-Native Development
- Production AI Experience: You have proven, hands-on experience building and shipping both standard web applications and LLM-powered applications (multi-agent orchestration, RAG pipelines) to production.
- AI Productivity: You have established experience utilizing modern AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) and AI-driven code review tools (e.g., CodeRabbit) as a core force multiplier in your daily software development lifecycle.

This role is based in Berlin and the salary range for this position is dependent on the level in which we recruit this role:
Senior: €110,000 - €130,000 + Bonus + Equity. Lead: €130,000 - €165,000 + Bonus + Equity.
