Technical Leadership & Developer Enablement
Act as a proactive technical reference, influencing architectural decisions and fostering a DevOps culture across multiple development teams.
Understand programmers' daily challenges and guide them with deep empathy.
Take the initiative to identify systemic bottlenecks and drive cross-team projects to improve overall platform reliability and deployment speed.
Architect, manage, and operate AWS/GCP services, ensuring seamless interoperability between platforms with Cross Connects and VPNs.
Design and provision scalable infrastructure for development teams using Terraform, Terragrunt and GitLab pipelines.
Manage complex DNS zones (Route53, Cloudflare) across multiple domains and brands.
Drive CDN/WAF configurations (CloudFront, Cloudflare), including geo-blocking and bot management.
Cloud Financial Operations & DevOps Engineering
Lead investigations to optimise cloud costs through traffic analysis and CloudTrail optimisation.
Partner with engineering teams to analyse cost anomalies and influence adoption of cost-effective architectural choices.
Collaborate empathetically with programmers on product development, resolving intricate issues related to application configuration, deployment, and debugging.
Security & Access Management
Drive AWS Organization account onboarding and enforce security best practices (Control Tower enrollment, SCP policies, billing profiles).
Govern AWS IAM users, SSO groups, cross-account roles, and permission policies across 15+ AWS accounts.
Respond to and mitigate AWS security and CNAPP alerts.
Design and evolve monitoring and observability stacks: Prometheus, Alertmanager, CloudWatch.
Participate in on-call rotations, providing expert response to complex production incidents.
Troubleshoot deep performance issues across the infrastructure stack, guiding multiple teams to a swift resolution.
Requirements
Valid working permit for Spain is required.
- 7+ years of overall engineering experience, with 5+ years managing large-scale production infrastructure in AWS.
- High Initiative: proactive identification of architectural gaps and delivery of sustainable solutions.
- Influence & Leadership: demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions, mentor peers, and foster engineering excellence across multiple teams.
- Strong skills in Linux and Open Source software.
- Expert-level experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) building tools, especially Terraform.
- Deep, hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
- Solid background in Kubernetes, containerisation, and orchestration.
- Advanced experience in designing and building CI/CD pipelines.
- English language skills (team communication is bilingual ES/EN).
Additional Skills (Plus but not mandatory)
- Configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Experience in logging systems with EFK or similar.
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Python or Java.
- Experience with Cloudflare (WAF, DNS, bot management).
- Familiarity with DigitalOcean environments and managed databases.
