Job description

Olive Tree Consulting works to remove the friction that slows down leadership teams. While we are an advisory practice, our methods rely heavily on the tools and records we leave behind for our clients. This role is about building and maintaining those tools. You will be responsible for translating logical management frameworks into clear, usable web interfaces. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of making information simple and accessible rather than adding unnecessary complexity. This is a paid position offering a salary that is competitive within the current market for entry level developers.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain web interfaces using modern frameworks such as React or Vue to support our advisory projects.
  • Translate simple wireframes and management diagrams into functional, responsive web components.
  • Collaborate with our advisory team to understand the specific needs of the logistics client and build tools that reflect their organizational reality.
  • Write clean, readable code that follow established standards and patterns within our development workflow.
  • Test and debug interfaces to ensure a reliable experience across different browsers and devices.
  • Document your work clearly so that the logic behind your code is easy for others to follow.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to learn from colleagues and improve the quality of our shared codebase.
  • Help manage the deployment of updates and small features to project dashboards., This is a permanent, full time position that is entirely remote. We provide the equipment you need to perform your work effectively from home. You will have the chance to see how your technical work directly affects the management of a large scale logistics operation. Requirements

  • A strong grasp of the fundamentals of web development, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Helpful background

  • Experience with a modern JavaScript framework, whether through university projects, personal coding work, or an internship.
  • Basic familiarity with Git for version control and collaborating on code.
  • An understanding of CSS architecture and how to build layouts that adapt to different screen sizes.
  • Awareness of web accessibility principles to ensure tools are usable for everyone.
  • A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, though we also value relevant self-taught experience or bootcamp completion.
  • Experience writing clear technical notes or maintaining a personal project blog.
