TotalEnergies is looking for an independent data engineer who thrives in a dynamic and innovative environment., As a Data Engineer, your contribution will be essential to our energy and smart charging data platform. You will build and maintain data pipelines, monitor data quality, and ensure that our data scientists and energy product owners can rely on consistent datasets. You will work closely with the Lead Data Engineer, and will gain hands-on experience in a production environment, making a real impact on the success of the Solutions team., * Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines for smart charging, energy optimization, and reporting
- Setting up and improving data ingestion from partners, customers, and suppliers, such as grid operators, energy suppliers, and e-mobility service providers
- Working with data layers (bronze / silver / gold) and performing data quality checksDeveloping KPI dashboards (primarily in Databricks) for various internal teams
- Collaborating with data scientists to provide reliable input for models and reports
- Contributing to the standardization of data structures and API integrations
Systems
Experience or affinity with the following tools is important: Cloud & data platform
- AWS (basic knowledge: IAM, S3, compute)
- Databricks (Spark, notebooks, data pipelines)
Data engineering & Storage
- Python
- API-integrations (REST, JSON)
Requirements
The ideal candidateFirst and foremost, you are intrinsically motivated to contribute to the energy transition.In addition to this, you have a:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree (HBO/WO) in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience as a data engineer or significant internship/thesis experience
- You work in an organized manner and have strong attention to data quality
- You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team (data, energy, business development, maintenance)
- You are curious about energy and EV charging infrastructure challenges
