Job description
- As a Data Platform Engineer, you contribute to the further development of Jumbo's modern data platform. You help shape scalable platform solutions and ingestion frameworks that enable teams across the organization to work safely and reliably with data.
- At Jumbo, data plays an important role in improving processes, customer experience, and decision-making. By making data scalable and reliable, you help teams across the organization work smarter and faster.
- You work within the Data Platform team on further developing Jumbo's modern cloud-based data platform. Together with your colleagues, you work on scalable platform architectures and engineering standards within Jumbo.
- You collaborate closely with data platform engineers, architects, and platform teams within the Tech & Data domain. In addition, you work together with data producers and data consumers on future-proof platform solutions., As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you help shape scalable ingestion and platform solutions within a modern cross-cloud data environment. You work on platform development, engineering standards, and reliable platform capabilities., * Leading the development of ingestion frameworks and platform solutions;
- Designing scalable cross-cloud solutions within Azure, AWS, and Databricks;
- Defining engineering standards and platform guidelines;
- Building CI/CD workflows using GitHub and Terraform;
- Orchestrating workloads and ingestion flows on Kubernetes;
- Improving scalability, observability, and reliability;
- Making technical decisions around platform architecture;
- Collaborating with stakeholders across multiple domains;
- Coaching and mentoring engineers within the team.
You will work within the Tech & Data domain at the Jumbo Tech Campus in Veghel. Here, we build and improve scalable cloud data solutions that support teams across the entire organization.

Requirements
- Strong experience with software and platform engineering concepts;
- Excellent Python engineering skills;
- Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, Databricks, and Delta Lake;
- Experience with scalable cloud-native platform solutions;
- Experience with GitHub, Terraform, and Kubernetes;
- Experience with observability, reliability, and platform governance;
- Experience coaching and mentoring engineers;
- Strong stakeholder management skills.

- A gross monthly salary between €5,100 and €6,500 based on a 40-hour workweek;
