Job description
We're looking for a Firmware Engineer to take ownership of the embedded firmware powering our devices.
This role goes beyond implementation, you'll shape architecture, make key technical decisions, and ensure our firmware performs reliably in real-world conditions.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop firmware for connected embedded devices from concept to production.
- Own key parts of the firmware architecture and drive technical decisions.
- Work closely with hardware, software teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Build and maintain low-level interfaces, communication layers, and system logic.
- Optimize systems for performance, power efficiency, and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues in hardware-software interaction.
- Contribute to testing strategies, code quality, and long-term maintainability.
- Support product lifecycle activities including improvements and updates after release.
Requirements
- Experience developing firmware for embedded systems in production environments.
- Solid proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming.
- Understanding of microcontroller-based systems and hardware interaction.
- Experience working with real-time or timing-sensitive systems.
- Solid knowledge of communication between embedded devices and external systems (wired or wireless).
- Ability to work within constraints such as limited memory, power, and processing resources.
- Hands-on debugging experience at both software and hardware levels.
- Experience building reliable systems that operate in real-world conditions.
Nice to Have
- Experience with connected or IoT devices.
- Familiarity with wireless communication technologies.
- Exposure to motion systems, sensors, or actuators.
- Experience improving power efficiency in battery-operated devices.
- Scripting or tooling experience for testing and automation.
