Senior Data Governance Specialist

We ARE Renewables is looking for a Senior Data Governance Specialist for one of our clients in the energy sector. As a Senior Data Governance Specialist, you strengthen the client's data-driven future with robust frameworks, strategy, and impactful collaboration. You will work in the Data Governance team within the Data Office: a substantively strong, diverse, and friendly team of six colleagues. The team is diverse, ranging in age from mid-20s to over 50, and is known for its camaraderie and conviviality; they regularly enjoy a nice lunch together. The workplace is Rotterdam.

Task and Responsibilities

• You work on frameworks and guidelines that are used organization-wide.
• You advise management on compliance, risks, and data quality.
• You translate developments and legislation into applicable governance frameworks.
• You guide colleagues in data-driven working through coaching, training, and substantive support.
• You connect stakeholders and ensure coherence between policy, processes, and tooling.

• At least five years of experience in implementing data governance, metadata management, and data quality management.
• Experience with Data Governance tooling such as Informatica or Collibra.
• Strong advisory skills and experience with stakeholder management at the management team and operational levels. For example, in change or implementation projects.
