Job description
As an Embedded Engineer, you'll work on both the hardware and software side of product development. You'll be involved in building complete embedded systems, from the first concept all the way to something that is ready for production.
This role is a great fit if you enjoy working at the intersection of electronics and embedded software. One day you might be working on schematics or PCB design, and the next you could be writing embedded code, testing prototypes, or solving technical issues during development.
You'll work on a wide variety of products and applications across different industries. That could include areas like medical technology, industrial automation, smart infrastructure, and other IoT-related solutions. Because of that, the work stays varied and you'll keep learning with every new project.
You'll be based in Veldhoven and work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers. Together, you'll turn system requirements into real products that actually go into production and make an impact in the market.
What will you be doing?
-
You'll design and develop embedded systems from start to finish. This includes translating requirements into hardware and software solutions, selecting the right components, contributing to schematic and PCB design, and writing embedded software that brings the system to life.
-
You'll be involved throughout the full development cycle. From architecture and prototyping to testing, debugging, and preparing designs for production. You'll also work with manufacturing partners to make sure designs move smoothly from prototype to volume production.
-
You'll solve real engineering challenges along the way. Think about topics like real-time performance, communication between devices, power consumption, signal quality, EMC, and system reliability. It's a hands-on role where you get to work on practical technical problems that matter.
-
You'll also work across different disciplines. You'll be in contact with colleagues from hardware, software, design, and production, as well as external suppliers and manufacturing partners. That means you'll have a real influence on how products are developed and built.
Requirements
- A BSc or MSc in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or something similar
- Experience in embedded developmen, software development in C, C++, and/or Python
- Experience with microcontrollers, communication protocols, and hardware-related development through work, internships, university projects, or personal projects
Benefits & conditions
- A competitive salary between €3,500 and €4,500 gross per month,
- 8% holiday allowance
- travel allowance, and a solid pension scheme
- A strong engineering environment where you work with talented multidisciplinary teams, contribute to technical decisions, and see your work make it into real products
- Plenty of room to grow, with access to external training, the freedom to explore new technologies, and exposure to a wide range of technical domains and industries
- A healthy work-life balance, including 25 holidays, modern tools and equipment, and an office in Veldhoven where people value both technical quality and a good team atmosphere
