Job description
Summary: We are hiring a hands-on, visionary Director of Marketing Technology and Data to design, build, and scale a programmable global marketing infrastructure that moves Randstad from disconnected SaaS tools to a unified, AI-ready data foundation., As the primary architect of our digital marketplace growth engine, you will report directly to the Chief Digital Growth Officer and lead the transition from a decentralized collection of local tools to an API-first, composable global stack.
Global MarTech Architecture & AI Agent Integration
- Centralization & Rationalization: Audit our decentralized regional tools and lead the migration to a unified global stack (CRM, Marketing Automation, CDP) built on rigorous systems engineering standards.
- AI-First Implementation: Select, deploy, and integrate autonomous AI agents to orchestrate real-time interactions across the ecosystem. Collaborate with data science teams to fine-tune LLMs and deploy custom predictive models into production.
- A Single View of the Customer: Build a global system to capture every client and talent signal into a unified master profile within our central data hub.
Building the Central Data Foundation
- Decouple Logic from Apps: Move the "brain" and marketing logic out of siloed SaaS applications and into a single, universal data layer that Randstad owns and controls.
- Contextual AI Readiness: Organize and structure enterprise data pipelines so autonomous AI agents have the deep context needed to reason, decide, and execute marketing workflows without middleware friction.
- The Enterprise Bedrock: Deliver the mandatory technical foundation that enables our Content, Omnichannel Performance, and Insights teams to execute effectively.
Operational Excellence & Global Governance
- Define the Data Contract: Establish a global "common language" ensuring core entities like a "Lead" or "Customer" maintain identical definitions across all regions and tools.
- Empower Local Teams: Establish a central MarTech & Data Center of Excellence (CoE), provisioning reusable, compliant building blocks and templates for local teams.
- Real-Time Attribution: Shift commercial attribution from lagging monthly reports to an instant, on-demand data service.
Privacy, Ethics & Data Compliance
- Compliance by Design: Implement robust Consent Management Platforms (CMPs) across all global digital assets to strictly navigate GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy regulations.
- Algorithmic Fairness: Establish strict guardrails for Generative and Predictive AI, serving as the technical lead in auditing models for bias and ensuring brand safety.
Key Metrics You'll Own (Year 1 Deliverables)
- Global MarTech Roadmap: A validated, IT-aligned strategy to transition regional tech setups into the central Marketplace hub.
- Universal Data Layer: The production launch of our primary marketing data platform as the single source of truth.
- CoE Launch: The successful central organization setup and transition of distributed regional procedures.
- Experimentation Pilot: Execution of 5 high-impact, self-learning data experiments moving from standard A/B testing to autonomous spend and creative optimization.
- AI Operational Framework: Deployment of the first 3 production use cases for AI automation (e.g., predictive lead scoring/automated content pipelines).
Requirements
- The "Architect" Mindset: 8+ years of enterprise experience in MarTech/AdTech, specifically leading large-scale transitions from decentralized setups to centralized global infrastructures.
- Technical Mastery: Deep hands-on experience building data-first environments and cloud data pipelines (e.g., Google Cloud Platform). You firmly believe software tools should be "last-mile" connectors, while the logic lives in core infrastructure.
- AI Fluency: Pragmatic engineering knowledge of how to structure, pipeline, and feed enterprise data to give AI agents and LLMs the context they need for autonomous decision-making.
- Empowering Leadership: Proven ability to influence cross-functional, global stakeholders by building supportive platform frameworks rather than policing restrictive rules.
- Language: Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
