As a Cloud Architect at Macaw, you will be the mastermind behind transforming organizations to the Azure Cloud, working alongside a team of Cloud and DevOps Engineers to turn cloud strategies into concrete designs and products.

What does my week look like:

• You will be working in an agile environment. Some of your main day to day activities include:
• Optimising client operations (including client facing consulting and presentations)
• Lead solution implementation and DevOps delivery
• Develop technical designs and architectures based on client requirements
• Conduct technical audits and design reviews
• Evaluating new technologies and keeping abreast of new trends

What will I be working on:

You'll be working on transformation projects for large international clients like Volkswagen, Prosus and Menzis. Recent projects include redesigning and rolling out public cloud for Menzis, and creating a developer platform for Heineken.

• 5 - 7 years engineering experience in a Microsoft environment, of which at least 2 years should be as an Azure Architect or similar role as an IT Consultant
• Familiarity with a DevOps
• Bonus points for experience with ARM and Bicep templates and Git repos
• Experience in advising or consulting at senior management and/or C-level level

Technical Skills:

• Extensive experience with software development on the Microsoft stack (such as C#, SQL, databases, ASP.NET and .NET Core)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, particularly IT infrastructure, networks and identity management, both in hybrid and cloud-native environments
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, ARM templates, PowerShell, and Bicep Templates
• Bonus points for Azure certifications such as AZ303, AZ304, AZ500, SC200

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical solutions into understandable terms
• A team player who is passionate about advising and enthusing others about the Microsoft Cloud
• Strong commercial and service-oriented mindset

• Fluency in both English and Dutch
