Job description

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
  • Design and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka to support scalable, resilient business processes
  • Build, deploy, and support applications on AWS using containerised platforms including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration across enterprise systems
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and contribute to automation and environment management
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and modern DevOps practices
  • Optimise application performance, availability, and scalability using observability tools including New Relic and Bosun

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 21/25 and Spring Boot
  • Proven experience designing and implementing microservices-based applications
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures
  • Strong experience developing REST APIs and distributed systems
  • Experience with AWS cloud services and container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS)
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and containerised application deployment
  • Experience managing infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Strong knowledge of MongoDB, Mongo Atlas, PostgreSQL, and Redis
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control using GitHub
