Full Stack Developer - PHP / Laravel - Hull

A leading UK-based business is seeking a talented Full Stack PHP Developer to join its growing digital technology team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of a modern, large-scale eCommerce and digital platform that supports a nationwide operation.

The Opportunity

This role would suit a developer who enjoys working across the full stack and is passionate about building scalable, high-performing applications. You will be involved in developing new features, enhancing existing platforms, and supporting the ongoing evolution of a modern digital ecosystem built around cloud technologies, APIs, and microservices.

You'll work closely with technical and business stakeholders, contributing to projects that have a direct impact on customer experience and business growth., * Develop and maintain backend applications and services using Laravel

• Build and enhance frontend applications using Vue.js and Nuxt.js
• Create responsive, high-performance user-facing features
• Design and consume RESTful APIs
• Contribute to database design, optimisation, and performance improvements
• Support the development of scalable microservice-based solutions
• Ensure applications meet security and data protection standards
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work within Agile/Scrum delivery teams
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and best practice development standards

• Strong commercial experience with:

• PHP
• Laravel
• JavaScript
• Vue.js
• MySQL
• HTML & CSS

• Proven experience delivering full-stack web applications
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs
• Solid understanding of database design and optimisation
• Familiarity with Git-based version control workflows
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Nuxt.js
