Job description
- Produce High and Low Level Designs (HLDs and LLDs), network diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Design and implement enterprise network solutions across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Configure and deliver changes across Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, and Azure networking technologies.
- Implement routing, segmentation, cloud connectivity, IPSec VPNs, Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute, as well as Zero Trust solutions.
- Contribute to Cisco ACI, Juniper Mist, and F5 LTM deployments.
- Develop implementation plans, migration runbooks, testing documentation, and technical handover artefacts.
- Support enterprise network transformation, cloud migration, and infrastructure modernisation programmes.
- Automate network configuration and deployment using Python, Terraform, GitHub, or similar tools.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation to enterprise standards.

- VPN, We are offering an initial 6-month contract for a Network Engineer / Network Designer working on a major enterprise transformation programme. This is a project-focused role with no BAU or operational support responsibilities. The position is based in London on a hybrid basis, with 2 to 3 days per week in the office, and sits within a high-profile programme focused on network modernisation, cloud adoption, and secure enterprise connectivity. The day rate is £550 per day, outside IR35.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise network solutions.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, QoS, and IPSec VPN.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Juniper Mist, and enterprise firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, and/or Juniper SRX.
- Strong Azure networking experience, including hybrid connectivity and cloud security.
- Experience implementing Zero Trust solutions using Zscaler ZIA and/or ZPA.
- Experience with F5 LTM is desirable.
- Automation experience with Python, Terraform, GitHub, and/or Ansible.
- Experience delivering network transformation and migration projects.
- Excellent technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
