Job description

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused individual to join our Inspection Support team. As an Inspection Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting Estyn's inspection and follow-up processes by providing high-quality administrative and technical support. You will manage Virtual Inspection Rooms (VIRs), support education providers and inspection teams, administer follow-up activities, and ensure information and documentation are accurate and up to date. You’ll also gain access to opportunities across the wider Civil Service, giving you room to grow and shape your career., You will be responsible for providing administrative and technical support for Estyn's inspection and follow-up processes, ensuring the efficient delivery of inspection support services.

Key tasks include:

  • Setting up and deleting core inspection and follow-up Virtual Inspection Rooms
  • Providing technical support for the Virtual Inspection Room (VIR) to providers and inspection teams, problem solving any issues
  • Administering the follow up process for providers in line with Estyn guidance
  • Responding to all administration queries for follow up visits and other inspection related queries
  • Developing and reviewing documents associated with the follow-up process
  • Inputting data from questionnaires
  • Supporting and providing cover for other Inspection Support Officers where required
  • Undertaking any other duties as may reasonable be required by managers including possible changes to the role as the Transition year work develops, * UK nationals

  • individuals with limited leave to remain or indefinite leave to remain who were eligible to apply for EUSS on or before 31 December 2020
  • Turkish nationals, and certain family members of Turkish nationals, who have accrued the right to work in the Civil Service

Requirements

  • Have good communication, literacy, numeracy and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Are organised with good time management skills and able to manage competing priorities to ensure the timely delivery of information
  • Can prioritise tasks, work accurately and ensure that tasks are completed within agreed timescales
  • Are approachable and able to form effective working relationships with people across Estyn and have good interpersonal skills
  • Are able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly
  • Have a positive and focused attitude to achieving outcomes

It’s desirable that you have:

  • Are able to work through the medium of Welsh
  • Experience of working in a service delivery or customer service environment, * Delivering at Pace
