Job description

Radnor House Sevenoaks is an independent co-educational day school for pupils aged 11-18, set within a beautiful 20-acre campus on the edge of Sevenoaks. We are an ambitious and forward-thinking school with a strong academic ethos, excellent pastoral care and a rich co-curricular programme.

We are seeking to appoint a proactive and customer-focused IT Technician to join our IT Team. This is an important frontline role, supporting staff, students and other users to ensure IT systems, equipment and services operate effectively across the School.

You will assist with the maintenance and monitoring of end-user devices, software, printers, audio-visual equipment and associated systems, responding promptly to support requests and resolving issues in a professional and customer-focused manner.

Working as part of the IT Team, you will help maintain a secure, efficient and accessible IT environment, support users with guidance and training where required, and escalate service risks or technical issues appropriately.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has experience of providing first-line and/or second-line technical support in a school, education setting or similar customer-focused environment.
  • Has good working knowledge of Microsoft and Apple devices, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, user accounts, permissions and common desktop applications.
  • Understands basic networking principles, including Wi-Fi, printing, connectivity, hardware troubleshooting and peripheral devices.
  • Has experience with Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID and Intune, or is willing to develop further experience in these areas.
  • Can communicate clearly with non-technical users and provide a professional, helpful and approachable service.
  • Is organised, calm under pressure and able to prioritise competing support requests.
  • Has a clear understanding of confidentiality, data protection, cyber security, online safety and acceptable use in a school environment.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • School fee remission
  • Pension scheme and life assurance
  • Free lunches, on-site parking and gym facilities
  • Employee Assistance Programme

Further details, including a job description and application form, can be found on our website via the 'apply' button.

Closing date: 12pm, 24 July 2026

The School reserves the right to appoint before the closing date.
